Ermal's Auto Body FAQs

Read through some informative FAQs to learn more about how we can help you.

  • Will Parts Be Ordered Before I Drop off My Vehicle for Repair?

Yes. We place the order for your vehicle's parts at the time we write the estimate. We generally schedule your vehicle for drop-off a couple of days later, unless your vehicle is found unsafe to drive.

  • If My Vehicle's Frame Is Damaged, Is It a Total Loss?

No. A vehicle is a total loss only when the price of repairs exceeds the insurance company's determined value of that vehicle. Most cars are built using unibody construction, i.e. the frame and the body are one. Our professionals can return your car to its original shape with the aid of our state-of-the-art computer measuring system. If the frame of your car is damaged beyond repair, the section can just be replaced.

  • Do I Have to Pay a Deductible?

The amount of deductible that you will have to pay is determined by your insurance policy. If you were not at fault and carry a broad collision, your insurance company will, most likely, waive your deductible. Insurance companies determine fault by your account of the accident when you make the claim, and by reviewing the accident report filed with the police. If you aren't sure about the amount you will have to shell out, you can call your agent and they'll tell you whether your insurance company has waived your deductible, or you will be responsible for paying this when you pick up your vehicle.

  • Who Do I Pay My Deductible To?

If your deductible is not waived, you will be accountable to pay us when you pick up your vehicle. If you aren't sure about your deductible, you can contact your agent to know whether your insurance company has waived your deductible or whether it will be your responsibility.

  • Can You Match the Paint Color?

Today's paint shops incorporate multiple layers of highly specialized paints. We have also made a huge investment in the finest paint system available and constantly upgrade its technology and equipment to ensure that each vehicle's paint matches. We take special pride in our ability to match factory finishes as the final step in the restoration process.

  • How Long Will It Take to Repair My Vehicle?

Our staff can give you an estimate of the time it might take to complete the job. Be sure to check with us for the specifics of your vehicle.

  • Do I Need to Get 3 Estimates?

No, it is not necessary to get an estimate. According to Idaho law, you are allowed to choose any repair shop. It is the insurance company's duty by law to negotiate with the repair shop you have chosen.
